AlertPay – Another Paypal Alternative

Alertpay is a new paypal alternative and is offered in countries where paypal is not available. AlertPay is a privately owned and managed company founded in 2004 with its office headquarters in Montreal, Canada. Because it is new there are not many sites that accept alertpay. Alertpay offers three three types of accounts. Personal starter, Personal pro and Business account.
The personal starter account is the recommended account for a beginner. You can send and receive money for free. The disadvantage of personal starter account is that it has a monthly receiving limit of $400 and cumulative yearly receiving limit of $2000. Also you can’t use credit card funded payments. You can upgrade your personal starter account to a personal pro account to remove these limitations. There is a receiving fee of 2.5% + $0.25 per transaction in a personal pro and business account. You can fund your account by using credit card.
You can withdraw money from alertpay by cheque, bank transfer and wire transfer. The bank transfer withdrawal fee is just $0.5. Indians can withdraw by cheque and wire transfer. For withdrawal by cheque there is a fee of $3 and wire transfer withdrawal fee is $15. I have used alertpay and I have withdrawn money by cheque.

SWIFT code is a unique code which identifies the bank and country of the bank. If you want to do a wire transfer then you have to go the bank and ask them to do the transfer.

In alertpay, can i use hdfc netsafe card to pay my online payment?
Also, what is the additional fees required by hdfc for using netsafe card in each online payment transaction in alertpay.
Finally, If i have to make an online payment of $50 through hdfc netsafe in alertpay, should i create the card for exact $50 or more?
Dear Mathew, You can use netsafe card in Alertpay. HDFC charges 3.5 % commission on international transaction. Always create a slightly higher value.

I know we want to withdraw money from AlertPay as fast as we can. I found some ALERTPAY VERIFIED sites that issue Mastercard debit cards. You can purchase one and they will ship the card to you via postal mail. You can then transfer money from your AlertPay a/c to your debit card. You can use the card to withdraw cash from ATMs where MasterCards can be used.
Dear Swapan Dhar, You can add any Indian visa/master card debit card to alertpay and withdraw to that card.
Dear Shanawas,
Your website is informative, and useful like us newbies.
I have a account with alertpay and using my credit card for my activities, due to alertspay’s recent policy credit card transaction are not acceptable and advised for bank wire for funding. Local banks here does not encourage bank wire and directed to get a letter from RBI whereas alertpay supporting bank wires from India. Here my question is how to transfer fund to my alertpay account from India and what are all the details to be filled for such transaction, since alertpay have not set prescribed form for such transaction.
Thanking you,
abdul Nasar
Dear Naser, You can fund using debit card in India.
Dear shanavas,

Nowadays alertpay not supporting either credit card or debit card, I have tried the both and I am advised for bank wire, which bank in india is supporting such transaction.
